How My Online Session Service Works

My primary work as a professional session guitarist is collaborating with musicians  over the internet. This year alone I have recorded for clients based in the USA, Canada, Austria, Japan and also in the UK where I am based.

From my home studio. I can record HQ session guitar tracks ranging from single rhythm  parts through to complex multi-layered arrangements which are constructed to perfectly fit your musical vision.

I am able to quickly turnaround recordings for your project and in most cases you will receive your completed tracks within 48 hrs or earlier.

I can also assist with musical arrangements and structure should you require that for your particular project.

HQ Guitar Tracks, Recorded Remotely

I have access to wide array of guitars and amplifiers/effects which enables me to cover a large range of guitar tones. In my  work as an online session guitarist I record guitar tracks/parts and instrumental arrangements for musical clients over the internet. This remote recording process helps avoid the need for the expensive and lengthy studio hire of past decades.

Remote audio recording also allows you to review session guitar tracks easily from the comfort and familiarity of your home studio and using your DAW of choice.

My online session guitar tracks are all delivered in industry standard HQ audio formats suited to your specific musical requirements. Dry and effected guitar tracks are supplied with all projects and sent to you directly via file transfer software such as DropBox and We Transfer

Frequently Asked Questions

How does remote session guitar recording work?

Remote session guitar recording is a simple way to add professional guitar tracks to your song without needing to book a traditional studio session. You send me your track, reference ideas and any notes about the style or guitar parts you need. I then record the parts from my studio and send the finished guitar tracks back to you as high-quality audio files.

What files should I send before a session?

Ideally, send a rough mix of your track, the tempo/BPM, the key, and any reference tracks or notes that explain the style you’re looking for. If you already have chord charts, lead sheets, stems, MIDI ideas or demo guitar parts, those can also be very useful.

Can you provide both dry and wet guitar tracks?

Yes. I can provide both dry guitar tracks and processed guitar tracks where appropriate. Dry tracks give you maximum flexibility when mixing, while wet tracks include the amp, effects and tone choices used during recording. Many clients prefer to receive both versions.

How quickly can you deliver guitar parts?

Turnaround depends on the size and complexity of the project, but many smaller sessions can be completed quickly. If you have a deadline, let me know when you get in touch and I’ll confirm what is realistic before starting the recording.

What styles of guitar can you record?

I can record a wide range of guitar styles including pop, rock, blues, funk, jazz, fusion, ambient, country-influenced parts, hard rock and soundtrack-style guitar. I can provide rhythm parts, lead lines, solos, layered arrangements, atmospheric textures and supporting guitar parts designed to fit the song.

Can you help with guitar arrangements as well as recording?

Yes. If you are not sure exactly what guitar part the track needs, I can help develop suitable parts and arrangement ideas. This might include rhythm guitar layers, melodic hooks, lead guitar, solo sections, ambient textures or subtle parts that support the vocal and overall production.

What audio format will I receive?

I can send high-quality WAV files suitable for importing into your recording session or DAW. If required, I can also provide alternate versions, such as dry DI tracks, processed amp/effects tracks, or separate layered parts so your mix engineer has more flexibility.

How do I book an online session guitarist?

The best way to start is to contact me with a short description of your project, the style of guitar you need and any relevant links or reference tracks. I’ll reply with availability, any questions about the brief, and a suggested approach for the session.
